Raft Building
Raft building is an exciting and splash-filled activity that requires teamwork!
In teams of 5 to 6 people, participants will use wooden beams, ropes, and waterproof barrels to construct seaworthy rafts. Our instructors will guide you on the best methods and teach you how to tie the “Adventure King Raft Knot.” While some teams may take the creative route, this can sometimes result in less stable designs!
Once all the rafts are finished, they are launched into the water. The first completed raft takes the lead, and the last completed raft follows. Then, the race begins—paddle up and down the water, with each team racing to retrieve a floating life vest several hundred meters away!
Weather Considerations
- On less favorable weather days, the rafts are typically of higher quality, and almost no one gets wet.
- On sunny days, expect a fun water battle!
We’ll be paddling on the Omleidingskanaal near Lutterzand, heading towards Denekamp.
This activity pairs wonderfully with mountain biking, kickbiking, or a beautiful walk through Lutterzand.
